You are about to tell a website how your firm protects taxpayer data. It would be a poor advertisement for us if that were careless. This page describes what actually happens to what you type, in the same detail we would want before typing it ourselves.
Your answers stay in your browser
Everything you enter into the form is held in your own browser’s local storage. There is no account, no sign-in, and no database holding your firm’s details. If you clear your browser data, your answers are gone — from our side there is nothing to delete, because there was never a copy.
The one moment it leaves your browser
When you download your document, your answers are sent to our server so the PDF can be rendered, then the rendered file is returned to you. They are not written to a database or any other persistent store, and no copy of your document is kept.
We will not pretend this is nothing: for those few seconds the data is on a machine we operate. It is transmitted over TLS and discarded when the request finishes.
Payment
Payment is handled entirely by Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe’s own page, not ours — we never see or store a card number. Stripe collects your email address to send a receipt, and we can see that email and the fact that a payment succeeded.
Stripe’s handling of your data is governed by their privacy policy. We may use the email address on your receipt for one purpose beyond the receipt itself: to tell you about a change in IRS or FTC requirements that affects the document you bought, during the twelve months of updates included in your purchase. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not send reminders.
What our host records
The site runs on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser user agent, the page requested, and a timestamp. This is ordinary infrastructure logging, not analytics about you.
What we do not do
- •No analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising trackers
- •No cookies for tracking. Local storage is used to hold your draft so you can leave and come back, and for nothing else. It is stored as you typed it, not encrypted, which is why we recommend filling the form in on a device only you use
- •No selling, renting, or sharing of your information
- •No mailing list unless you explicitly join one
Your rights
Because we hold so little, most requests are quick to answer. Write to us and we will tell you exactly what we have — realistically, a Stripe payment record with your email address — and delete what we can. Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, and we will honour those regardless of whether a particular law applies to you.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it. We will not quietly broaden what we collect.
